Thermistors

Thermistors are the temperature sensors used for all TE Technology controllers.

Thermistors are used to provide:
• feedback/control for the primary control loop,
• as a secondary over-temperature safety sensor with most of our controllers, or
• for monitoring secondary system temperatures.

They can replace the primary sensor that is included with each temperature controller or be used on the secondary thermistor input which is available on all controllers except the TC-24-10.

Selection is based on physical characteristics and temperature range.  Be sure to use a thermistor that is compatible with the particular controller being used.  Not all controllers have every resistance-versus-temperature curve available.

The lead wires can be lengthened if necessary (within a reasonable amount) using standard copper wire of any gauge recommended for the controllers; special alloy wire is not necessary.
